Upstart is all about flavor. We craft each of our recipes individually using the best ingredients. A lot of other kombucha companies brew a base kombucha with green tea and then add their different flavors shortly before bottling. We select a tea blend to match the flavor and include all the ingredients in the steep for the most complete flavor around. Here are my notes on our flavors.

Blueberries, cherries, vanilla and black tea.
It's rich, smooth and dark. We've worked to find the perfect blend of 3 berries and 3 teas to create this robust flavor combination. Every time I drink one, it brings a smile to my face.

So light and refreshing.
This light, dry and savory 'booch has hints of mint and sage. I've crafted this recipe with a light touch, using herbal flavors of Colorado that blend into a relaxing and uplifting drink.

It's lemony, it's gingery.
But I needed something to bring them together. I chose an old brewing ingredient I'd used years ago: Grains of Paradise, a peppery spice that bridges the gap to create an entirely new flavor.

It seems so simple: Roses, and white tea.
It's a simple recipe that generates a surprisingly complex flavor. After fermentation, the roses taste almost like grapefruit. You really have to try it to believe it.
